Cheap Flights

Airplane made of money flying and saving on deals!

Ticket prices are determined by the laws of supply and demand.  Airlines use sophisticated computer technology to determine the fares it will charge for any given number of seats on all of the flights it their system.

What this means for you the consumer is that it is probably to your advantage for the most part to book your flight as early as possible.  This is particularly true if you are planning to travel during the traditionally busier travel seasons.  Also, the best airfares for weekend travel will tend to sell out earlier.  The later you book these types of flights, the more likely it is that you will have to pay more for your airline ticket.

Consider also the other trip costs.  In other words, rather than focusing solely on finding cheap flights, compare package deals if your trip will require hotel costs, tour costs, or automobile rentals.  By wrapping these expenses together in a package, the overall discount available to you may lower the overall costs of your trip considerably.

Sometimes you may find the cheapest fares through a travel agent.  If your trip itinerary is a complex one or your destination is unusual, you may not only find the best fares through an agent, but have fewer headaches to resolve regarding your trip details.  While finding the absolute cheapest flight ticket you can is certainly rewarding, sometimes the overall experience is simply much better going through a competent agent that can find the best airfare available through their resources.
